The savory flavors of onion and veggie burger are tempered by the sweetness of teriyaki and pineapple. Sprouts give it a pleasant crunch. A fun lunch for kids!

Detailed Ingredients and Amounts :
2 veggie burgers
2 slices of onion
1 cup of crushed pineapple, or chunks
Two pinches of sprouts
4 slices of wheat bread
2 tbsp teriyaki
ketchup on the side
Preparation Instructions :
Bake or fry veggie burgers according to instructions. I don't generally like to microwave them. Assemble sandwich on toasted wheat bread by placing the burgers, then onion slice, then pineapple (you can grill or flame it for extra flavor!), sprouts, and teriyaki sauce on top. Serve open faced. With "fries" - I do sauteed potatoes and extra ketchup.
