Description :

"In season from September to December, pomegranates are picked ripe. A good pomegranate should have a soft leathery skin that 'gives' lightly when pressed. Heavy pomegranates are juicer. Avoid fruit with shriveled skin." K. Morse EatingWell Fall 2003. Dr. Richer's Fresh Produce Guide says to "press the crown end. A powdery cloud means it's past prime. Refrigerated, they'll keep for up to 3 months."
